We
Help Ourselves
— The WHO Self-Protection Programs for
Children
We Help Ourselves, The WHO, is an empowerment
program designed for public and private school-age
children. Using puppets and/or educational videos
and stories, our volunteers inform children/adolescents
about safety issues while teaching them what they
can do to prevent becoming a victim.
The WHO curriculum is a national program developed
by the Mental Health Association of Greater Dallas
and is an approved curriculum for many school
districts in the Dallas area.
